ISO/IEC 17065 & other Assessment and Accreditation

United States Accreditation Services (USAS) provides accreditation in accordance with ISO/IEC 17065 for product certification programs to ensure that the marketplace can gain confidence for their activities.

USAS accredits product certification bodies to various product certification schemes, which provides confidence that products, processes or services meet the intended use or need in the marketplace.

This accreditation is available to all organizations that provide product certification, and USAS welcomes applications for the accreditation of all types of certifications. This program covers a multitude of product areas including, but not limited to:

Accreditation Requirements

Product Certification Bodies are assessed against the general criteria contained within ISO/IEC 17065:2012 Requirements for Bodies Certifying Products, Processes and Services.
