Although ITSMS-ISO 20000-1:2011 equally supports other IT service management framework but it was originally developed to reflect the best practice guidance contained in ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) framework.

ITSMS is the ISO 20000-1:2011 standard which focuses on the delivery system of services for IT sector. The System is based on PDCA and consist the systematic flow of the Information and security, safety and prevention from threats and Risks. The requirements include the design, transition, delivery and improvement of services to fulfill agreed service requirements. The standard ensures companies can achieve evidence-based benchmarks to continuously improve their delivery of IT services.
